Mental Health Awareness Week 2021: Piper

This week we are supporting @MentalHealthFoundation #MentalHealthAwareness week, the theme for which is the importance of nature on our mental health and general wellbeing; #ConnectWithNature. Here, Eleanor describes how walking her dog, Piper, has helped with her mental health throughout the pandemic.
“I wanted to share how much walking with my dog in local nature has supported my mental health throughout lockdown. We’ve been exploring the local area much more than we otherwise would have and (much to Piper’s delight) we’ve been going for much longer walks and admiring the scenery even when it’s freezing cold! I get so much joy from watching Piper enjoy nature - sniffing in the woods, splashing in the sea and rolling in things she definitely should not be rolling in! We are very lucky to live in an area with so many open spaces and lovely walks.
